Professor Li-Cheng Kao

Dr. Li-Cheng Kao received his BA degree in 2009, MS degree in 2011, and PhD degree in 2017 in the Department of Geosciences, NTU. Dr. KAO was invited as guest researcher to Advance Light Source (ALS), LBNL in 2019. He joined the Dr. Jan, Yano and Yachandra’s group in Molecular Biophysics and Integrated Bioimaging (MBIB) division and worked as a postdoc in 2020. Dr. Kao now works as assistant Professor at the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, leading the Operando Crystal Dynamic Analytic Lab at Department of Resources Engineering. Current projects of the group are focused on the development of innovative in-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy experimental design for unrevealing the molecular- scale reaction mechanisms that govern subsurface catalytic reaction in these dynamic interfaces.
